What a powerful statement!  Our world has created a generation of 'thinkers'.  We each have a huge critic in our head that rules us with guilt, shame, criticism of self and others, and keeps us 'in line' with societal norms.  When we are born a 'tape recording' begins...it is as though someone hit the 'record button' and we begin listening and observing what brings us 'warm fuzzies' (attention, smiles, kisses, hugs, dry bottoms and full bellies) and we quickly learn how to 'act' in the world in order to gain approval. 

If the world is to become what we all wish for, it has to begin within each of us...within YOU!  It is easy to notice other people's actions, it's quite another thing to look in the mirror at yourself.  Relationships are our giant mirror!  And have no doubt, our four-leggeds also offer us great teachings...as does all of nature! (Check out the Nature of Things tab!) All our relations show us how we are doing, who we are and what we can do to surround ourselves with what brings us joy and happiness.  This can often be a very 'touchy' area since many times the ones we love the most can also be a source of irritation!  There is much wisdom to be gained stepping back and looking at what the relationships we move through each day are showing us.  IF we truly want to live our lives in balance, we must be brave enough to look squarely at ourselves and with gentle eyes see what needs our attention. We all have these areas ...there are not faults, merely aspects of ourselves that need to be loved and strengthened.  Let's record new truths and delete the old messages....then realize everything we need, we already have!  It is so much easier to do this together...as a community of supporters.  Let the healing begin!
