What a deliciously beautiful and amazing moon sits in the night sky at this very moment. She finally motivated me to "get my rear in gear" and post the Clan Mother for this moon. There really are no words for the inspiration, comfort, and overall, loving warmth she brings to my heart! I hope she touches yours as well. Give her a try!

Tragedy - a lamentable, dreadful, or fatal event or affair; calamity, disaster. Those are the words the dictionary uses to define Tragedy. Indeed, a tragedy awakens the heart. We live in a world where our head (intellect) controls our life. And yet, when a tragedy happens it is our heart that feels the effects. Shock, disbelief, confusion seem to reign over our head (intellect) that we have no choice but to "stand still" while our heart aches.
Of recent, there seems to be many tragedies confronting people all over the world. However, it is the one that touches the life of someone we love that moves us into action. Whether it be a phone call, personal visit, or bringing food to the family of those in need, it is a natural reaction to reach out to those confronting a tragedy. Before our head (intellect) has a chance to make sense of it, we spring into action to connect to someone. It is the natural, instinctive human reaction.
This Friday night my heart reaches out to several people i know who are confronting truly tragic situations. I know how it feels to be in such a state of shock your head (intellect) cannot offer your heart comfort. I am reminded that our heart knows precisely what it needs to mend. However, first it needs to simply feel the depth of despair, fear, and confusion before it can begin to heal.
And, it all begins with the love shared by our family and friends. A single act of kindness, tears shared as we hold each other during such times are among the greatest healers. And, never underestimate the power of a prayer whispered either in person or from afar in the healing process. The heart feels all acts of love, and when love is expressed, tragedy begins to "shape shift" into strength. It is then our head (intellect) can begin to help us move into a place of compassion so that we may be of service to the next person who experiences a tragedy.
This Friday night, I am reminded that life is a circle and that love is the fuel that makes it turn.

There is so much abundance in my life I can hardly keep up with it all! Seems I just get something cleared, organized, completed, and another "something" appears. I guess that is what happens when you are open to new possibilities. I do enjoy projects, somehow they stimulate my creativity, and I so enjoy checking a completed project off my list. I have a theory that absolutely every situation offers a multitude of options. One of things I remember most about the students I worked with was the look on their faces when they realized they had options.
It is fascinating to watch the look of hope come into a person's face. There is a lightness that appears, as their eyes widen, face softens and illumination appears as a result of an "ah ha" moment. As simple as it seems to most of us, many people do not realize they have options. What a sad state of affair when a person feels "stuck!" I am grateful for the richness of life that opens up for a person when they truly realize what an abundant universe we live in. There truly is a wealth of new possibilities awaiting anyone willing to explore the terrain "outside the box!"When they are brave enough to try something new, trust another person enough to believe they do have options. It is a delicious world when a person gives him/herself permission to explore the world of possibilities!

Dorothy was so very correct, we may dream of places filled with adventure, new terrain .. something different then what we know; however, there truly is "no place like home!" I am so very grateful for the opportunity to have witnessed first hand, the beauty of this country this summer of 2014. I have met some amazing people who love their "home" as much as I love mine. While I could not tap my ruby slippers and wake up at home, each day I visited home in the quietness of meditation. I would move from room to room and acknowlege my plants, bed and sacred pieces, walk the perimeters of my garden and remind them all that they were loved.
This Thursday our monthly gathering of like-minded people will meet and then being home will be complete. My heart is full of gratitude for the richness of love, laughter, sharing and good food that fills my life with the richness of "home!"
